Brad Kriser, founder and CEO of Kriser's, the all-natural pet food and supplies chain, shares with B. Unconventional listeners his company's core strategy as well as offers a preview of the chain's brand new outlet - its first in Colorado. Kriser says that he and his team chose the Denver market for expansion after extensive consideration of local demographics, including the sizable disposable incomes of Denverites; residents' propensity to own big dogs (who eat lots of pet food); and the fact that Colorado already hosts a variety of all-natural supermarkets that specialize in fresh foods. The chain has nine other stores; seven in Chicago and two in Southern California. Business Unconventional is hosted by David Biondo and Dean Rotbart and airs each Sunday morning at 8 a.m. (MDT). The program is also streamed over the Internet at www.710KNUS.com. Original air date: April 22, 2012 |
